Rail spike knife 3

I'm glad to have finally scraped together the missing pieces so I could finish this commission piece. I had to cancel a stalled order with this continent's biggest blacksmith supplier and drive 60Km to pick up a pair of bolt tongs from a local farrier shop (okay, I was going past anyways), but here it is - I hope it's worth the wait.

The knife is about 9" (23cm) in length, forged from a rail spike of marginally high carbon steel. The blade is case hardened to top up the carbon content, and a file will just barely bite into the edge. I gave everything a hard wire brushing before drawing the temper and have (at least until instructed otherwise) left a 'polished rough' ornamental finish, complete with colour from heat treatment. I added some simple filework to the base of the blade, and I think I kind of like it.
